Fluctuations of Light

boat in sunsetsm

A longboat spills

Out of the golden trail

Across the sea

A sailboat tacks across

The same path

Trailing laughter

The sun shouts

In sunset gold

And spills its

Final fire into the sky

Sets the sea aflame

Until day burns out

And a crescent moon

Gains its quiet control

Of the gentle night

  1. This poem captures the sea in it most gentle, soul soothing rhythm. The combination of the movement of light and water is captivating and perfectly balanced.
